Welma Luus

Welma is the Director of the Next Level field hockey program which includes camps, clinics and travel teams.  She just completed her final season for the top ranked Maryland Field Hockey team where she was a captain and leading scorer (38 pts.).  Over the course of her Maryland career Welma received many honors:

  • First team All American (2016)
  • Second team All American (2015),
  • Big Ten Player of the Year (2016)
  • Big Ten Tournament MVP (2015)
  • 2015 BIG Ten Championship Title
  • 2013 ACC Championship Title
  • 2014-2016 BIG Ten Regular Season Title
  • NCAA Final Four Appearance, 2 NCAA Elite 8 Appearances

 In addition to field hockey, Welma played varsity tennis for four years at Maryland and was ranked as high as number 15 in the NCAA Division one doubles rankings. Welma is originally from Pretoria, South Africa where she was a three sport athlete in high school (field hockey, tennis and track).

 

Missy Flowe started playing Field hockey in 7th grade as a goalie and was a captain of her high school team where she holds the school record for shutouts. She played club ball for Focus Field hockey and won the 2013 National Futures Championship and 2013 National Club Championship. Missy played for University of Maryland for two years and was a member of the 2014/2015 Big 10 Regular season Champion team. Missy has coached field hockey at multiple levels as a varsity assistant coach at Kecoughtan High school, a Level 1 certified USA Field Hockey Futures coach and is currently a Next Level travel team and clinic coach.
